Chair One
Chair_One, designed by Konstantin Grcic for Magis, embodies a unique concept where voids dominate over solid elements. Its die-cast aluminum shell consists of numerous small, perforated, and triangular faces, resembling the construction of a football. This innovative design is achieved through precise die-casting technology, allowing complex three-dimensional shapes to be formed from metal. The result is a chair characterized by its emphasis on negative space, contributing to its aesthetic appeal. Chair_One has emerged as a timeless classic.
The Stackable Chair_One features legs in polished, anodized, or painted aluminum, with a concrete base available in transparent natural or black. Its base and seat are made from die-cast aluminum treated with sputtered fluorinated titanium and painted in polyester powder. Additionally, cushions in fabric (Kvadrat “Steelcut Trio” or “Steelcut 2”) or leather are available for indoor use, while polyurethane cushions are suitable for outdoor use.
