URBAN GARDENS ACCORDING TO DIABLA

Urban gardens, as Diabla conceives them, are spaces where nature and design unite, in a hidden paradise in the heart of the city. As an expression of creativity and design, they use innovation and ingenuity to make the most of the available space and to create a green and harmonious environment. EASY, GRILL, and PLOID provide comfort, functionality, and style and allow you to create an oasis of relaxation and tranquility in any corner of the city, turning an outdoor space into a true sanctuary.

EASY AND ITS SIMPLE, HONEST DESIGN: THE BEAUTY OF THE LITTLE THINGS IN THE MIDST OF THE DAILY HUSTLE AND BUSTLE

Wandering aimlessly we discover what is around the corner, something that can surprise and amaze us. Such is the case of Greenacre Park, a concealed haven at the end of a cul-de-sac next to MOMA, away from the hustle and bustle of New York City, which inspires a lush urban garden. EASY collection, created by Rocío Gambín, is based on simple pieces from different perspectives: easy to produce, acquire, integrate, transport, and store. The chair with and without arms and the stool/side table that make up the series are characterized by their casual, bold, and cosmopolitan style, in line with Diabla’s identity. EASY chairs and side tables pay homage to the simplicity of Scandinavian design and the originality of Italian design and are made from textured powder-coated aluminum to maximize their lightness and versatility. The result is a synthesis of design that seeks character and practicality in each of its elements.

ORGANIC GEOMETRY: THE PARADOXICAL AESTHETICS OF GRILL AND PLISY UP AT VERSAILLES

Chairs and tables from MUT Design’s GRILL collection as well as Alejandra Gandía-Blasco’s PLISY UP lamps are the stars of a petit grand café outside Versailles. Diabla revisits the exquisite French gardens designed by the landscape designer André Le Nôtre for Louis XIV and transforms them into an improvised open-air café that exudes character and majesty, without sacrificing the aspect of intimacy that is typical of any charming garden. This provocative staging connects the essential geometry of the sophisticated topiary with contemporary, clean-lined designs. The iconic GRILL chair embodies this idea of versatility and casualness, as well as a certain boldness thanks to its striking appearance; in this way, it could almost be categorized as a sculptural object. It adapts to different styles, terrains, and climates thanks to its minimalist and linear design, chromatic range of seven tones, and use of a light and resistant material: powder-coated aluminum in square cross-section profiles.

PLOID: FLEXIBILITY AND TEXTURE FOR A UNIQUE SENSORY EXPERIENCE

The PLOID collection, by the Romero & Vallejo studio, is perfect for creating welcoming atmospheres in urban gardens. With its versatile design, it creates unique combinations that adapt to any outdoor space. With just three elements, a corner piece, an individual seat with a backrest, and a multifunctional piece in the form of a pouf, multiple types of seating and atmospheres can be configured.

The PLOID corner pieces are particularly useful for making the most of every corner of the garden, as they can beplaced both on the left and on the right. By joining two of these modules together a small two-seater loveseat sofa is created, which is perfect for smaller spaces. With the addition of a single seat with a backrest, the sofa can be expanded as needed. You can even use the individual modules without corner elements to create a more casual sofa, ideal for enjoying an afternoon of reading or a conversation with friends.
