Platek illuminates the cyclopedestrian bridge over the Ete River

One of Platek’s most captivating recent projects in landscape design is the lighting of the cyclopedestrian bridge over the Ete Vivo River in the Marche region. This bridge serves as a pivotal element in the development of the Adriatic Cycle Route.

Designed to overcome natural barriers separating Porto San Giorgio and Marina Palmense in the province of Fermo, the matte white steel bridge features a single-span design stretching 55 meters, perfectly balancing elegance and functionality.

Inspired by nature, the bridge's design mimics the wings of a butterfly, with inclined arches and a suspended structure supported by rods that harmonize seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

Lighting plays a central role in the project, enhancing the structure and the cycling path. The Arkteam Architects studio from Ascoli Piceno chose Platek’s One 2.0 RGBW projectors to illuminate the larger wings, creating a dramatic visual effect with vertical beams reflecting on the bridge structure, offering a spectacular nighttime view. For the smaller wings, Mini One 2.0 white light projectors were used, while the cycling path features Target Small projectors designed by Marco Acerbis. Installed along the lateral edges, they provide uniform, glare-free lighting. Engineered with LED technology, the Target Small projectors combine simplicity and aesthetic elegance, ideal for architectural lighting projects aimed at highlighting shapes, volumes, and colors.

The adjustable color lighting allows for customization during special events, adding versatility to the infrastructure. The lighting design not only fulfills functional needs but integrates seamlessly with the architectural concept, merging design, nature, and technology. The result is a project that promotes sustainable mobility while enhancing the quality of life and encouraging tourism through an impactful visual experience.

One 2.0 Projectors:
ONE is a minimalist cubic projector with a rigorous geometric design that blends understated elegance with remarkable versatility. Its base can be installed for grazing wall light effects, as a ceiling fixture, or as a projector using a bracket. The design’s purity is highlighted by the absence of visible screws and a concealed wall attachment. Built from low-copper-content EN 44300 aluminum alloy, it undergoes a multi-stage anodic treatment and double-layer epoxy and polyester coating for superior weather and UV resistance.  Platek_cycling_and_pedestrian_bridge_over_the_Ete_Vivo_river__ph_Ottavio_Tomasini

Mini One 2.0 Projectors:
A compact version of the ONE projector, the MINI ONE 2.0 retains its cubic geometry and versatility. It offers grazing light effects, ceiling installation, or pole-mounted garden lighting. The body, crafted from low-copper-content EN 44300 aluminum, undergoes advanced anodic and coating processes, ensuring exceptional durability and corrosion resistance.

Target Small Projectors – Designed by Marco Acerbis:
The Target Small projectors feature a unique design that ensures efficient water drainage and conceals rotational joints for a sleek appearance. Made from EN 44300 aluminum alloy, they boast a dual-axis adjustment system and high resistance to weather and UV rays, thanks to meticulous anodic and coating treatments.
