On the occasion of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, running from August 27 to September 6, outdoor furniture company Fast joins Atlas Concorde as technical partner.
At the Festival, design becomes a narrative of culture and place: curated by Park Studio, the installation of La Terrazza—one of the most iconic spaces at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido—reinterprets the codes of Italian architecture through a site-specific composition defined by harmony, symmetry, and balance.
A historic symbol of Venetian hospitality and the legendary backdrop of the Film Festival, La Terrazza by Atlas Concorde transforms for ten days into an exclusive meeting place for international cinema figures and beyond. More than a lounge, it becomes a cultural stage where architecture, design, and the arts engage in dialogue.
The outdoor setting of this five-star landmark overlooking the lagoon—opened in 1908 and renowned for its Moorish architecture—offers an immersive experience celebrating the Italian landscape and its cinematic influence. The project is enriched by the collaboration of leading Made in Italy brands such as Modulnova and Artemide.
In this symbolic context, Fast brings its outdoor philosophy, rooted in the balance between aesthetics, function, and material. The selected collections—Roè and Niwa—grace the terrace with elegance, shaping an intimate and welcoming atmosphere ideal for encounters and conversations among directors, artists, and creative voices of today.
Designed by Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, Roè appears in multiple configurations: two-seater sofas, cushioned armchairs, and seats with cylindrical back cushions alternate to create a fluid dialogue between light forms and harmonious proportions, in perfect tune with the installation’s spirit.
Completing the terrace are Niwa stools, designed by Robby Cantarutti & Partners and crafted in aluminum, characterized by slender, airy lines that embody Fast’s essential and functional identity. Their presence in such a historic and symbolic setting highlights design’s cultural role as a universal language that bridges the arts and enriches collective experience. A project that reflects the brand’s commitment to promoting an authentic outdoor vision where material, landscape, and architecture converge in a coherent narrative of aesthetics and sustainability.
